Specification, then price
A written specification and a fixed quotation. Pitch, exposure and budget decide the system — not a catalogue default.
Warranties that stand
Installed to the manufacturer’s rules so 25–50 year system warranties have somewhere to sit, plus Metalico workmanship cover.
The junction is the job
Hard-metal work rewards the person who can see the junction, form it, and stand behind it.
Abutments, eaves, valleys, penetrations, ventilation paths. Metalico will not cover a bad substrate with expensive sheet and hope. If the full build-up should sit with the same crew, ask for that package.

Working method
From pack to seam, without a franchise in the middle.

Drawings in, not a sales visit
Send the pack to [email protected]. Pitch, build-up, junctions and the metal you have in mind. You get an honest reading before anyone walks the site.

Detail before it is built
Input on seams, abutments, ventilation and substrate. Non-conformance that would void a manufacturer warranty is flagged in writing, not discovered on the scaffold.

Specified system, installed to the rules
VMZINC, elZinc, NedZinc, Nordic Copper, KME, PREFA or GreenCoat PLX — chosen for pitch, exposure and the finish on the drawing, then installed so the warranty has somewhere to stand.

One director through handover
Billy Leach directs the company and project-manages every job. The same people from inception to the workmanship certificate.
Materials on the drawing
Zinc, copper, aluminium, PLX.
- Zinc. VMZINC and elZinc for roofs and cladding. Long life, a living surface, new houses and older fabric.
- Copper. Nordic Copper and KME. Bays, dormers, feature roofs where the patina is part of the architecture.
- Aluminium. PREFA and similar. Lighter, coated, useful on coastal exposure and when colour is the brief.
- GreenCoat PLX. The standing-seam look when strength, impact resistance or budget rules out zinc.

Will you work to our drawings?
Yes. That is the point of this page. Metalico follows the drawing, and will say so when a detail would void the system warranty or fail in London weather.
How early should you be involved?
At specification, not after the substrate is closed. Standing seam is only as good as the deck, vapour control and ventilation behind it.
Heritage or modern seam?
Both. Heritage hard metal is a core forte — traditional welts, rolls and like-for-like junctions on listed fabric. A modern standing-seam system is used where it is the honest contemporary choice.
Which zinc and copper systems?
VMZINC, elZinc and NedZinc; Nordic Copper by Aurubis and KME; PREFA aluminium; GreenCoat PLX when the drawing wants the standing-seam look on a tighter budget or higher impact resistance.
